Motivation Monday: THINK POSITIVE. BE POSITIVE. STAY POSITIVE.

So for today’s Motivation Monday blog post, I want to talk about the importance of having a positive mindset and some helpful tips to start having one. We often cross parts of our lives where things can get a little chaotic. Life gets blurry, our vision becomes harder to see, and when you lose sight of your vision, it’s so easy to spiral into a negative mindset. That ambition and drive that you once had somehow transitions into a lack of motivation, discouragement, and a sense of hopelessness.

Note to self: Don’t let that happen. THINK POSITIVE. BE POSITIVE. STAY POSITIVE.

It is so crucial to have a positive mindset not only when it comes to pursuing your dreams and aspirations but simply for our every day lives. With social media becoming so relevant in our lives, it is easy to compare yourself to others. You might feel like you’re not pretty enough, or your body is not perfect. You question why you’re not as successful as someone else you follow or admire on social media. If you find yourself thinking that way, stop. Its time to change your mindset. Trust me. I know and I’ve been there.

I want to offer some helpful tips that will help you start thinking more positively. These tips can help you daily and especially during your journey to achieving your goals and dreams.

  • WRITE OUT YOUR STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES ON PAPER: I enjoy writing what I like and what I don’t like about myself on paper. I embrace my strengths and unique qualities. As for my weaknesses, I write what I want to do to change those habits about myself. For example, I’m horrible at public speaking, so I’ll write about what I want to do to change that, like talking more to larger groups of people or socializing more during social settings. This helps identify what and how YOU want to change. It’s a process that allows you to embrace who you are as an individual and grow simultaneously.

  • CONVERT NEGATIVE THOUGHTS TO POSITIVE ACTIONS: Your mind can be your worst critic at times. It can take every flaw and turn it against you. I’ve learned that the moment I start thinking negative, I snap out of it and convert it to something positive. And it helps a lot during stressful situations, whether personal, work-related, etc. Change that I can’t to I can.

  • SURROUND YOURSELF AROUND POSITIVE PEOPLE: This is so important. The people you surround yourself around can either build you or break you. People who constantly find themselves involved in negative situations and drama will drag you into it. You don’t want that. You don’t need that. Surround yourself with people who will support you, uplift you, and who have a common goal to succeed and do great things in life.

  • TRUST IN GOD: I honestly don’t even have to elaborate on this. This serves as most important. If God is all that you have, you have all that you need. Let Him work through your mind, your heart, and your body.

Having a positive mindset is so vital to our daily lives. With all of the issues going on in the world today, it’s so easy to find yourself spiraling into a negative mindset. And the deeper the negativity, the quicker it leads to even more serious problems like depression. Remember you are enough. Don’t give up. Continue to walk by faith and not by sight. STAY POSITIVE.
